Is it possible?

To pursue dreams, I mean. Or entertain the idea of pursuing another lifestyle. For myself, an example would be complete independence in Japan somewhere, live among books. My sister, seeing how most of her friends are off somewhere in Europe, working and studying, are often talking of leaving the country, so on and so forth.

It's a charming idea, really, to be a citizen of the world; to be able to live somewhere else. However, given our current predicament, I find it unlikely to happen.

In the end we are just insects living in our trappings. Unable to go out, unable to see a way out. Trappings, I say. Mere mention of the outside world gets us rustled up, but in the end it remains in the outside world, and we on the inside.
